You are not precluded from placenta encapsulation if you are Group B Strep positive, baby passes meconium during delivery, or if you have an STI. We request you divulge if any of those are applicable to you, so we can advise you appropriately. If you have special request, please contact us directly.

Placenta Encapsulation $285-$350

We utilize two different preparation methods prior to the dehydration process. Choose between Traditional Chinese Method or Simple Preparation (or the best of both worlds with our 1/2 & 1/2 option). After the placenta has been properly dehydrated, it is micro-milled (to a cinnamon consistency) and tightly tamped into size 0 vegan capsules. Moms who have encapsulated with other providers report having to consume fewer capsules daily to achieve the desired effect due to our milling process.

We do not charge double pricing for twin births. There is a slight increase in charge to cover the additional packaging and shipping weight.

Simple Prep $285-$325

Often referred to as “raw preparation”, but we’ve found that is a misnomer, so we refer to it as “simple prep”. There is no additional heat added to the placenta prior to the dehydration process. The placenta retains its size and slightly more hormone content. Simple Preparation of a healthy placenta will yield 80-200 capsules. Anecdotal reporting tells us that this gives the capsules a rapid onset energy boost that tends to wear off more quickly.

TCM $285-$325

Also known as Traditional Chinese Method. The placenta is gently steamed, with herbs and spices, (organic lime, grated ginger, fresh jalapeno) prior to dehydration. This process causes the placenta to shrink slightly and changes the hormones on a molecular level. Anecdotal reporting tells us this renders the capsules with a slightly less intense energy boost, but extends the length of the capsules effects. TCM of a healthy placenta will yield 80-180 capsules. If any of the following are applicable to you, this is the ideal method for you.

  • Sensitivity to caffeine

  • Struggle with reflux

  • Sensitivity to aftertastes

  • Positive test results for Group B Strep, STI’s, or other microbial concerns

  • Meconium is present at birth

1/2 & 1/2 Prep $325-$350

Receive the best of both worlds by having half of your placenta prepared with Simple Prep and the other half TCM. The capsules will be packaged separately and labeled accordingly.

Placenta Tincture $45

Experience the full range of benefits your placenta has to offer by adding a tincture to your postpartum regimen. Each tincture contains 4 ounces of a highly concentrated liquid version of your placenta capsules. The tincture is made by submerging a small piece (1”x1”) of raw placenta in 80 proof, gluten-free vodka, and left to cure for a minimum of six weeks.

  • prevent or help alleviate headaches

  • lessen menstrual cramps

  • assist with heavy menstrual flow

  • prevent or help alleviate mood dysregulation caused by hormone fluctuations

  • alleviate menopause symptoms

The first tincture is $45 but each additional tincture is $20

Placenta Salve $55

A MUST have for C-section and nursing moms. This is a deeply nourishing and restorative balm, made with organic oils, butters, herbs and a small portion of your placenta powder (equivalent to 5 capsules). The ingredients are combined and steeped together on a low heat setting for several hours. This process extracts the medicinal properties of the herbs and the stem cells from the placenta powder, creating a skin soothing balm. There are no preservatives or essential oils added to the salve. So it is completely safe for baby to nurse without having to wash the product off with soap and water (like Lanolin). The placenta salve is an extremely universal product, but the most common application for it includes

  • use on C-section or episiotomy scars

  • cracked or sore nipples from nursing

  • Circumcision wounds

  • baby acne

  • diaper rash

  • other minor cuts, scrapes, wounds

It is very important to not store you salve in direct sunlight or subject it to extreme temperature changes (it will melt if it gets too hot). We always recommend using the small spatula included to remove the desired amount of product from the tin to prevent cross contamination. The first salve is $55 and each additional salve is $25

Umbilical Cord Keepsake $0-10

Each placenta encapsulation order comes with a natural finish umbilical cord keepsake, in your preferred shape (cord length permitting). We also offer painted cord keepsakes! Choose between one of the following finishes

If you have a special request for a color that is not already in our inventory, we will do our best to accommodate your request. Special request colors are $10

Placenta Prints $20

Each order includes two unique placenta prints made with the residual fluids of the placenta, then pressing high quality watercolor paper gently onto the baby’s side (smooth side with the umbilical cord) and slowly peeling the paper back to reveal a “stamp” of the placenta. The first order of prints is $20 and each additional set is $10 each.

Media Packages $10-$75

Share your placenta encapsulation journey on social media or with friends and family with one of our media packages. You will receive the link to all media, watermark free, to do with as you please. We work diligently to remove as much residual fluid from your placenta before taking any photos or video. Sacred Seasons Birth reserves the right to share any media produced on our social media pages. If you would like to be tagged in the post containing your placenta, be sure to complete the digital media release portion of the order form and provide us with your social media handles. There will be no personally identifying information in the photos or videos. With your permission, we will include your first name and the city you are in, ONLY. All media produced is in digital form. No physical photos will be sent to you.

  • 2 Digital Photos ($10)- Two different digital images of your placenta

  • 4 Digital Photos ($20)- Four different digital images of your placenta

  • Video Clip with Music ($25)- One 15+ second video clip of your placenta, set to music, and 4 different digital images

  • Voice Over Video Clip ($30)- One 15+ second video clip of your placenta, set to music, with a voiceover explaining its parts and 4 different digital images

  • Social Media Post ($75)- One 60 + second video, set to music, with a voiceover, of your placenta as it progresses through each step of the encapsulation process. You will also receive one 15+ second of your placenta set to music, and 4 different digital images. The videos are monetization friendly.
